Present Prefect Continuous Tense atau adalah kalimat yang menyatakan perbuatan yang dimulai pada waktu lampau dan masih berlangsung sekarang/ berkesinambungan.
Rumus :
PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS TENSE
(+) I/ We/ You/ They + have + been + infi nitive (V1) + ing
He/ She/ It + has + been + Infinitive (V1) + Ing

(-) I/we/you/they + have not (haven't) been + infinitive + ing
He/she/it has not (hasn't) been + infinitive (V1) + ing

(?) Have + I/we/you/they + been + infinitive (V1) + ing
Has + he/she/it + been + infinitive (V1) + ing

a. Kalimat Positif (Positive)
(+) I/ We/ You/ They + have + been + infi nitive (V1) + ing
He/ She/ It + has + been + Infinitive (V1) + Ing

Kalimat positive pada Present Prefect Continuous Tense maka have/has diletakkan setelah Object dan sebelum kata been.

Example :
(+) He has been staying in Bandung for a long time = Dia sudah lama tinggal di Bandung (maksudnya hingga sekarang dia masih tinggal di Bandung)

(+) She has been writing letter = Dia telah sedang menulis surat (maksudnya hingga dibicarakan dia masih sedang menulis surat)

(+) You have been studying English = Kamu telah sedang belajar bahasa Inggris (maksudnya hingga sekarang dia masih belajar bahasa Inggris :)

(+) We have been going to school = Kami sudah pergi kesekolah.

(+) It has been swimming = Dia telah sedang berenang.

(+) I have been waiting here since morning = Saya telah sedang menunggu disini sejak pagi.

b. Kalimat Negatif (Negative)
(-) I/we/you/they + have not (haven't) been + infinitive + ing
He/she/it has not (hasn't) been + infinitive (V1) + ing

Kalimat negative pada Present Prefect Continuous Tense maka have/has ditambahkan not atau n't : have not (haven't) / has not (hasn't)

Example :
(-)  He hasn't been studying English for a long time = Dia tidak belajar bahasa Inggris sejak lama.

(-) We haven't been going to lecture = Saya tidak pergi kuliah

(-) I have not been waiting here since morning = Saya tidak menunggu  disini semenjak pagi.

(-) She hasn't been staying at my house this year. = saya belum tinggal dirumah saya tahun ini.

(-) (+) I haven't been waiting for you since 5 years = Saya sudah tidak menunggu kamu sejak lima tahun

c. Kalimat Tanya (Interrogative)
(?) Have + I/we/you/they + been + infinitive (V1) + ing
Has + he/she/it + been + infinitive (V1) + ing

Kalimat Interrogative pada Present Prefect Continuous Tense maka have/has diletakkan didepan Object.

(?) Has she been staying at her house this year? = Apakah dia telah tidak tinggal dirumahnya tahun ini?

(?) Have you been waiting here for a long time? = Apakah kamu telah lama menunggu?
 
(?) Have you been working for this company over nine years? = Apakah dia sudah bekerja pada perusahaan itu selama lebih dari sembilan tahun?

(?) Has she been studying Arabic for over two years? = Apakah dia sudah mempelajari bahasa Arab selama lebih dari dua tahun?
